Compassionate
Christmas

As the twinkling lights and festive decorations adorned the bustling city of Memphis, the Ballard family felt another tug at their hearts. They couldn't shake the feeling that there were people in their community who were struggling during this special time of year.

They soon found that they were not alone in this feeling, as others also shared the desire to help, but were unsure of where to begin in the face of such overwhelming need.

Moved by compassion and their heart for Jesus, they brought their neighborhood together, connecting with each person to make a positive impact, one touch at at time. From there, it grew

The Initiation

NCC had to get the word around to those in the community to help gather help and resources. They did this by hosting a neighborhood meeting with heartfelt invitations, where they shared their vision for spreading Christmas joy to those who needed it most. They reached out to local businesses, community organizations, and kind-hearted individuals, inviting them to join in making a difference.

Not only did they want to help bring toys to kids who might not get any, but also serve their parents by creating gift boxes with essential needs and special gifts they would have not seen. They organized a gift drive, collecting donations of toys, clothing, and necessities from their community. In partnership with local charities, they put together personalized gift boxes, ensuring that every family in need in the Memphis area received the support and love they deserved.

The Plan

The Gratitude

As the donations poured in, NCC and the community were overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness. They put together a heartfelt thank-you to all the donors and volunteers to express their gratitude. They couldn't thank them enough and the impact that was about to be made on  their community.

The Delivery

In the month of December, the team of volunteers set to work and embarked on a journey packing and delivering over 1,000 gift boxes, touching 1,000 lives in such a short time!

The impact swelled creating a chain effect with people helping people. The community gladly greeted the volunteers with smiles as word spread and some families who were deeply touched by the generosity shared tears and hugs. Witnessing the joy that was brought through just one idea, one thought, one prayer, spread like wild fire.

This is the fire NCC is wanting to keep alive while continuing to spread the love of Christ.
